MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A CHILD'S LIFE!

Join our team of professionals dedicated to helping children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders!

We are NHS Human Services, a nationally recognized leader within the healthcare industry providing community-based behavioral health care for the public-sector. NHS provides a range of traditional and specialized health care services.

Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders bring with them the special challenges of living in a world that is not always built to accommodate their unique needs.  For more than 10 years, NHS Human Services has been providing quality behavioral health services to the children and families of Pennsylvania who are affected by Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder (NOS) and Aspergers Syndrome. As the rate of prevalence and demand for services have increased, we have dedicated ourselves to improving our expertise and expanding the range of services NHS can provide because the challenges of Autism should never include the availability of quality services.

Our latest addition to the NHS service line-up is the NHS Autism Schools.  In order to make this idea come to life, NHS invested the best of its existing Autism Services into the framework of an educational setting.  We knew that blending our expertise with a comprehensive educational program would result in a stable, nurturing environment that would instill young people with the confidence and skills to reach their fullest potential.

If you are looking for flexibility within your career, a position with NHS Human Services as a Special Education Teacher might be right for you. This position offers a competitive salary, Paid Time Off, and great benefits including 401k with company matching, medical and prescription, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability.  In addition, you will have the personal rewards of making a difference in children’s lives and ongoing training from top industry professionals.

As a member of our team, the Special Education Teacher will instruct students in daily living skills required for independent maintenance and self-sufficiency as well as in academic subjects according to school curriculum. You will work with IEP team members, clinicians, families, and program staff; using the multidisciplinary evaluation to create, develop, and implement individual and/or group therapy for each child as specified in the child’s IEP.
